How will we have money to support millions of more people in the future?

06 Jun

How will the system of money work to keep from having an extremely disproprotionate balance of wealth and poverty if the rate of population growth continues to soar and we have many millions of more people in the future?

Does the system of money have a mechanism built in to combat something like this? For instance, will more money be made (not currency) in order to support more people?

What is money? Is it silver or what?

How do you feel about AIG giving its executives tens of millions of dollars in new bonuses?

18 May

They receive taxpayer bailout money, and now they’re giving these executives bonuses? What’s up with this?

WASHINGTON – American International Group is giving its executives tens of millions of dollars in new bonuses even though it received a taxpayer bailout of more than $170 billion dollars.

AIG is paying out the executive bonuses to meet a Sunday deadline, but the troubled insurance giant has agreed to administration requests to restrain future payments.

The Treasury Department determined that the government did not have the legal authority to block the current payments by the company. AIG declared earlier this month that it had suffered a loss of $61.7 billion for the fourth quarter of last year, the largest corporate loss in history.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has asked that the company scale back future bonus payments where legally possible, an administration official said Saturday.

Why do mega millions lottery vendors ask you if you want cash or annuity BEFORE you buy the ticket?

12 Mar

What is the point in requiring every ticket buyer (like 20 million twice a week) weather they want cash or annuity in advance of winning. Would it not make more sense just to ask the winner. Do you want cash or annuity?

This has confounded me for years. Anybody know why they established this policy?
